Job Expectation: Responsible for preparing competitive and accurate cost estimates for tenders, analyzing project requirements, and compiling technical and commercial submissions in accordance with client specifications.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications to determine the scope of work and client requirements.

2. Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontracted works.

3. Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) as required.

4. Solicit and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

5. Prepare technical and commercial proposals in line with client requirements and company standards.

6. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, finance, and other departments for input and support.

7. Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and technical clarifications.

8. Ensure all tenders are submitted in a timely and compliant manner.

9. Maintain a database of suppliers, subcontractors, and historical cost data.

10. Identify cost-saving opportunities and contribute to value engineering initiatives.

11. Monitor and review post-tender negotiations and assist in contract award documentation when required.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Certification in Cost Estimation or Quantity Surveying.

PMP, CCP (Certified Cost Professional)- Preferred

Strong analytical and negotiation skills.

Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software.

Holding an Omani Driving license - Preferred


Experience Required: Minimum 5 years of experience in tendering and estimation preferably in Oil & Gas or Power sectors.
