Contract Manager
Job Expectation: The Contract Manager oversees the preparation, negotiation, and administration of contracts to ensure legal, HSE compliance and mitigate contractual risks for the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure end-to-end administration of the O&M contract in compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
2. Act as the primary liaison between the client and internal teams for all contract-related matters.
3. Review and interpret contract clauses, technical specifications, and service-level agreements (SLAs.
4. Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance against defined KPIs, timelines, and budget.
5. Manage and document contractual changes, including variations, amendments, and scope modifications.
6. Prepare, submit, and negotiate contractual claims, extensions of time (EOT), and dispute resolution.
7. Coordinate with legal, commercial, and technical teams to assess and mitigate contractual risk.
8. Oversee invoicing, payment applications, and certification in alignment with contract milestones.
9. Ensure all works are executed in line with statutory, regulatory, and client HSE and quality standards.
10. Track project budgets, forecasts, and ensure contractual compliance with cost control measures.
11. Maintain organised records of contract correspondence, approvals, and deliverables.
12. Facilitate client audits, inspections, and contract performance reviews.
13. Generate and submit periodic contract administration and compliance reports to senior management.
14.Promote continuous improvement in contract management processes and documentation practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a recognised University
Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
Knowledge of relevant industry codes (e.g, IEC, DEP).
Ability to draft, review, and manage contractual documents and amendments.
Competent in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation (Primavera P6)
Certification in PMP (Project Management Professional)
Holding an Omani Driving license - Preferred
Experience Required: Minimum 10+ years of experience in managing Electrical Construction Projects. (Preferably in the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sector)
